A Day to Plant Trees

Arbor Day is a day when people are encouraged to plant and care for trees. It's also a time to learn about them.

It's about making the world a nicer and a prettier place. People get together in groups and plant in a certain spot, and others in other spots, making the whole town or city a beautiful place to be.

It is celebrated in lots of countries, and held on different days, once a year.
Here in New Zealand the official day is June 5, but is celebrated all throughout the month.
In most countries it happens in spring, but it depends on the climate and suitable planting season.

On this site you will find lots of information about Arbor Day.
